The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled forward Brandon Mashinter from the Rockford IceHogs of American Hockey League, the team announced Wednesday.
Mashinter, 27, has yet to appear in a regular-season game for the Hawks since being acquired in December 2013 from the New York Rangers for Kyle Beach. The IceHogs captain has four goals and three assists in Rockford this season. For his career, he has tallied 100 goals and 101 assists in 410 AHL games. He previously played 23 NHL career games for the San Jose Sharks (2010-11) and Rangers (2012-13).
