The Chicago Blackhawks reassigned goaltender Jeff Glass to AHL Rockford on Sunday, the team announced. The move was made after the Blackhawks’ 4-2 victory over the Wild in the afternoon.
Glass was serving as the backup to Corey Crawford in that game against Minnesota, but it appears Scott Darling is almost ready to return. He’s been sitting out lately with an injury, which required the Hawks to bring up Glass from the AHL in order to be the No. 2 goalie.
The Hawks never had to use Glass, who recently signed an NHL deal with the team, because Crawford started every game while Darling was injured.
