The Blackhawks made a few roster moves on Monday, as Alexandre Fortin was sent back to the Quebec Major/Junior Hockey League and Andrew Desjardins was placed on injured reserve. Additionally, the team sent goaltender Ivan Nalimov back to the Kontinental Hockey League.
Fortin wowed the Blackhawks out of training camp. While coach Joel Quenneville entertained the thought of Fortin sticking with the team, this was always the most likely scenario.
Desjardins was injured late in the Blackhawks’ 2-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night.
