On Sunday morning, the Chicago Blackhawks re-assigned forward Luke Johnson to the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL.
Johnson, who the Hawks selected in the fifth round (134th overall) in the 2013 NHL Draft, made his NHL debut in the Blackhawks 2018-19 season opener against the Ottawa Senators on Oct. 4. After playing in three games, Johnson was demoted to Rockford, where he appeared in two games and earned a pair of points. He returned to the Blackhawks on Oct. 23 and played in 10 more games over the last month, picking up the lone point of his NHL career: an assist against the Vancouver Canucks on Halloween.
