The Blackhawks re-assigned winger Dylan Sikura to the Rockford IceHogs in the AHL on Tuesday.
Sikura was a healthy scratch for Chicago’s 4-3 overtime loss to the Jets on Monday after being held without a point in five games. During his two call ups to the NHL this season, he recorded no goals and eight assists in 33 games.
With the Blackhawks’ playoff hopes on life support, Chicago is hoping Sikura can help push the IceHogs into the Calder Cup playoffs. Despite only playing in 40 AHL games, he’s fourth on the IceHogs in goals (13) and seventh in points (30) this season.
