The Blackhawks’ AHL team, the Rockford IceHogs, allowed four first-period goals in a 7-1 loss to the Bruins on Saturday at TD Garden. Chicago sent Rockford head coach Derek King and his team to Boston because the NHL squad is in Berlin, Germany, ahead of the NHL Global Series.
Boston’s Jake DeBrusk and David Pastrnak each had a hat trick and assisted on another. Charlie Coyle had a goal and two assists and Troy Krug had three primary helpers. Tuukka Rask had a secondary assist and made 19 saves on 21 shots for the win.
