Blackhawks prospect Nicolas Beaudin will be out indefinitely with a wrist injury, his QMJHL team Drummondville announced Thursday.
Drummondville said Beaudin suffered the injury during the Voltigeurs’ 4-0 win over Gatineau on Oct. 19. The team did not detail which wrist is injured for the left-handed defenseman.
Beaudin has one goal and eight assists in nine QMJHL games this season. He racked up 69 points (12 goals, 57 assists) in 68 contests prior to being drafted 27th overall by Chicago in the NHL draft this past June. Beaudin was the second defenseman taken in the first round by the Blackhawks after Adam Boqvist was selected eighth overall.
