Landon Slaggert did his job, and now the Chicago Blackhawks prospect is apart of a championship team.
Team USA won gold at the World Junior Championship on Tuesday night, beating Canada 2-0. There was one member of the Chicago Blackhawks organization participating in the event in Landon Slaggert. Slaggert was the fourth line center for Team USA.
In seven games played, Slaggert tallied no goals and no assists during the tournament. However, he did his job as the fourth line grinding center very well. It will be a long time before the Blackhawks see Slaggert on their roster, so in the meantime, it is nice to see the third-round pick from 2020 win in a tournament like this.
