SAGINAW, Mich. – Alex DeBrincat hasn’t had many off nights … or at least his usual off nights aren’t comparable to most.
This season, an off night for DeBrincat, a Chicago Blackhawks 2016 second-round draft pick, has meant registering less than two points in a game. It’s been that kind of season for him. There was even a stretch where he was averaging nearly three points a game.
On Friday night, DeBrincat, along with the rest of the Erie Otters, had the most off night possible. In an OHL game that went bad quick, the Otters found themselves down 8-1 in the second period.
