SKA St. Petersburg traded Blackhawks prospect Andrei Altybarmakyan to HC Sochi on Monday.
Altybarmakyan played in 14 KHL games for SKA last season, but couldn’t crack the lineup this season. The 20-year-old right winger has produced for SKA’s minor teams though. He scored two goals in the VHL — Russia’s top minor league — on Friday, and has two goals and five assists in 11 VHL games this season. He also has three goals and two assists in three MHL games.
Altybarmakyan, a 2017 third-round draft pick, tallied 18 points (nine goals, nine assists) in 32 games in the VHL last season.
