The Chicago Blackhawks have placed forwards Jeremy Morin and Corey Tropp on waivers Friday, reports TVA Sports Renaud Lavoie.
Morin, 24, collected six points (two goals, four assists) in 43 games between Columbus and Chicago last season. The Auburn, N.Y., native was acquired by the Blue Jackets via trade Dec. 2014, in exchange for defenseman Tim Erixon. Morin has 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) in 82 career NHL games and 158 points (81 goals, 77 assists) in 208 AHL games, all with the Rockford IceHogs.
Tropp, 26, notched eight points (a goal, seven assists) in 61 games for the Blue Jackets last season.
