Patrick Kane has been named captain of the Central Division for the 2016 All-Star Game, the NHL announced Saturday.

Florida's Jaromir Jagr (Atlantic), Washington's Alex Ovechkin (Metropolitan) and Arizona's John Scott (Pacific) will captain the other three divisions, as each finished with the highest votes casted by fans among their respective divisions as part of a new format.

This year's All-Star Game will feature a 3-on-3 tournament of three 20-minute games, with four teams consisting of six forwards, three defensemen and two goaltenders representing each division competing against each other for a $1 million prize.

The remaining 40 All-Stars will be determined by the NHL Hockey Operations Department on Jan.
