Chicago Blackhawks star forward Patrick Kane will be the Central Division All-Star captain, the league announced Saturday.
Washington Capitals Alexander Ovechkin (Metropolitan), Florida Panthers Jaromir Jagr (Atlantic) and Arizona Coyotes John Scott (Pacific) will represent the other divisions. All four players were the top fan vote-getters for each division to earn All-Star captain honors.
This year's new All-Star Game format will feature a 3-on-3 format with four teams representing each division. There will be a 20-minute mini game with two 10-minute halves, featuring one division against another followed by another 20-minute game with the other two divisions playing each other.
