Most of the Chicago Blackhawks’ major prospects will be attending their prospect camp, which begins on Sunday.
Nick Schmaltz and Gustav Forsling will both be there. A number of prospects who played for the Rockford IceHogs last season like Vinnie Hinostroza, Ryan Hartman and Tanner Kero will be in attendance. Michal Kempny, a 25-year-old defenseman who signed in May, has even agreed to attend the camp.
There will be a few players missing, though.
Defenseman prospect Ville Pokka will not be in Chicago for the camp. He suffered a lower-body injury during the World Championship in Russia in May and is staying in Finland to continue his rehab, according to a source.
