Just as the Chicago Blackhawks were about to get one player back, they’ve lost another.
Tyler Motte is expected to miss 2-3 weeks with a lower-body injury, Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said on Tuesday. Motte suffered a lower-body injury when he awkwardly was hit into the boards during the Blackhawks’ game against the Dallas Stars on Sunday. Motte appeared unable to put pressure on his left leg as he left the ice.
Motte will be replaced in the Blackhawks’ lineup by Andrew Desjardins, who suffered a lower-body injury during the preseason and has yet to play this season.
