Needing a win in the worst way, the Chicago Blackhawks traveled to a city where they haven’t won in the regular season since the Clinton Administration.
It didn’t go well.
The Blackhawks lost their seventh in a row, losing 4-0 to the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday afternoon.
Chicago actually carried the play early but failed to turn that puck dominance into a goal (more on that later). And then a Duncan Keith turnover found the stick of Claude Giroux, who isn’t one to waste a scoring chance. Giroux made it a 1-0 game with about five minutes remaining in the first period.
