The Blackhawks have earned at least one point in each of their last six games, and need to extend that streak to seven to keep pace in the Western Conference playoff race.
They’ll get the opportunity to do so at home against the Flyers on Thursday night at the United Center.
While the Blackhawks’ playoff hopes remain alive, the Flyers’ are on life support. Philadelphia is six points behind the Blue Jackets for the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference and, with only nine games remaining, covering that ground is nearly impossible.
