Blackhawks’ Jonathan Toews will be featured on an upcoming episode of NHL Network’s Ice Time at 8 and 11 a.m. Saturday and at 9 a.m. Sunday. The episode will focus on what it takes to be a leader, the importance of being humble and the qualities needed to succeed as a captain of a NHL team.
Toews, who has been the captain of the Blackhawks since the summer of 2008, spoke with NHL Network’s Mike Johnson about how leaders often have some of the natural abilities that coaches look for in a captain, but they need to be open to evolving and learning new methods to connect with their teammates:
