The Chicago Blackhawks and Nashville Predators are interested in free agent defenseman Barret Jackman, reports Andy Strickland of Big 500 KTRS.
Jackman, 34, played his entire 13-year NHL career with the St. Louis Blues before the team announced on June 11 it would not bring him back. With the expiration of his three-year, $9.5 million contract, Jackman will hit the open market as an unrestricted free agent Wednesday.
Jackman tallied two goals and 13 assists this past season. He has 28 goals and 153 assists in 803 NHL career games with the Blues.
