Before the Blackhawks defeated the Wild 3-1 on Sunday, Eddie Olczyk was honored with “One More Shift.”
The former Blackhawks forward and current TV commentator skated around the ice and received a rousing ovation from the United Center crowd while a tribute video played on the jumbotron with highlights from his NHL career.
The “One More Shift” program corresponded with the NHL’s annual “Hockey Fights Cancer” night, which is an event the league uses to help raise funds and awareness to fight off cancer.

Last fall, Olczyk underwent chemotherapy treatments for Stage 3 colon cancer and announced he was cancer-free in March.
