Blackhawks forward Dominik Kubalik finishes third in Calder voting

During Monday’s NHL Awards announcements, Blackhawks forward Dominik Kubalik was revealed as the third-place winner in the voting for the Calder Trophy, annually awarded to the NHL’s best rookie.

In addition, Patrick Kane was awarded a fifth-place vote for the Hart Trophy, the League’s most valuable player award.

Kubalik led rookies in goals this year with 30, good for 17th among all skaters. He had 46 points, third among rookies (but first among rookie forwards).

Cale Makar of the Colorado Avalanche won the Calder for the 2019-20 season and Quinn Hughes of the Vancouver Canucks came in second.
