ST. PAUL, Minnesota – Duncan Keith didn’t play much of Tuesday night’s game against the Minnesota Wild. Considering his actions in that one, he may be out of a few more games, too.
Keith was assessed a match penalty for “intent to injure” in the first period of the Blackhawks-Wild game. Replays showed Keith, after being tripped by Charlie Coyle and falling to the ice, swinging his stick at Coyle’s face. Coyle was bleeding from the nose following the high-sticking.
The department of player safety will review the match penalty, during which time Keith will be suspended indefinitely.
