Blackhawks drop fourth straight game in 4-0 loss to Oilers

The Chicago Blackhawks losing streak hit four games on Thursday night, as they lost 4-0 to the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night.

If one tweet could sum up what happened in on Thursday night, this one from GIF connoisseur Cristiano Simonetta tells the story rather well:

Many of the statistics actually favored the Blackhawks in this one. Chicago outshot Edmonton 39-32 and held a 52-41 advantage in shot attempts at even strength, per Natural Stat Trick. But none of those attempts resulted in goals, as Edmonton backup Mikko Koskinen posted the first shutout of his NHL career, stopping all 39 of the Blackhawks shots on goal.
