Corey Crawford is out with an upper-body injury and will not make the road trip to Winnipeg for Friday's game. In a corresponding move, the Chicago Blackhawks have recalled goaltender Michael Leighton from the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL, the team announced Thursday.
Crawford is listed as day-to-day.
Crawford, 31, has posted a career-best 35-18-4 record with a 2.32 goals-against average and .926 save percentage in 57 games this season. His win total is tied with Los Angeles' Jonathan Quick for second in the league and his seven shutouts lead the league. The two-time Jennings Trophy-winner has lost his last three starts, giving up a combined 11 goals.
