Blackhawks: Corey Crawford named NHL's first star of the week

Corey Crawford was named the NHL's first star of the week after going 3-0-0 with a 0.33 goals against average, .989 save percentage and two shutouts to help the Blackhawks move back into second place in the Central Division.

The 30-year-old Montreal native kicked off the week by stopping 36 of 37 shots in a 4-1 win over the Nashville Predators, and followed that up with consecutive shutout victories against the Winnipeg Jets (25 saves) and Vancouver Canucks (30 saves).

It was the second time this season that Crawford has registered back-to-back shutouts, and also the third time in his career.
