Blackhawks coach Jeremy Colliton has 3-year contract worth around $1.4 million, per report

Blackhawks head coach Jeremy Colliton told the media Tuesday he has a three-year contract that runs through the 2020-21 season. The deal is worth around $1.4 million, reports Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Colliton has guided the Blackhawks to a 3-4-2 start in nine games since taking over Nov. 6 for Joel Quenneville, who was fired after going 6-6-3 to start the season.

Quenneville, who won the Stanley Cup three times with the Blackhawks in 2010, 2013 and 2015, had been with the team since 2008 and was the NHL’s longest-tenured coach.
