VANCOUVER — Tomas Fleischmann scored his 14th goal of the season and Andrew Ladd scored the winner as the Blackhawks beat the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 on Sunday night.
The Blackhawks secured a playoff berth with Sunday’s victory. They remain in third place in the Central Division with 95 points, four points ahead of idle Nashville.
Fleischmann’s goal was his fourth since the Blackhawks acquired him. Scott Darling stopped 26 of 28 shots for his second victory in as many nights. The Blackhawks were without Artem Anisimov, who is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
The Blackhawks got off to a strong first-period start but Ryan Miller denied them on several good opportunities.
