The Blackhawks allowed seven goals for the fifth time this season and lost their fourth straight game, 8-5 to the Devils on Monday night at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Patrick Kane extended his point streak to six games with two goals and two assists for the Blackhawks. Kane’s team-leading 27 goals tie his goal total from last season. It was also the eighth consecutive game Kane skated more than 21 minutes.
Cam Ward allowed six goals on 25 shots in two periods, and rookie Collin Delia made 14 saves on 15 shots in relief.
