Chicago Blackhawks winger Artemi Panarin is one of three finalists for the 2015-16 Calder Memorial Trophy, awarded "to the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition," the NHL announced Monday.
Members of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association submitted ballots for the Calder Trophy at the conclusion of the regular season, with the top three vote-getters designated as finalists.
The other two finalists are Edmonton Oilers' forward Connor McDavid, the top overall pick in the 2015 NHL Draft, and Philadelphia Flyers' defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere.
