The Blackhawks have agreed to a two-year entry-level deal with defenseman Erik Gustafsson, the team announced Thursday.
Gustafsson, 23, registered four goals and 25 assists in 55 regular-season games this past season for Frolunda in the Swedish Hockey League. His 29 points ranked fifth among defensemen.
In 12 postseason appearances, he posted three points (one goal, two assists), including a game-winner.
The Swedish native also compiled 19 points (four goals, 13 assists) in 13 games in the Champions Hockey League, a tournament featuring several teams from the top-tier leagues of at least six European countries.
