The Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have agreed to terms with forwards Sam Carrick and Pierre-Cedric Labrie on one-year contracts.
Carrick, 24, spent the majority of the 2015-16 season with the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, scoring 16 goals and adding 18 assists in 52 games. He also played three games with the Toronto Maple Leafs last season after making his NHL debut against Chicago on Nov. 1, 2014. He went on to play 16 games with the Maple Leafs during the 2014-15 season where he scored one goal and notched one assist.
A member of the Marlies in each of the last four seasons, Carrick has 41 goals and 59 assists in 192 career AHL games.
