Blackhawks agree to entry-level contract with Robin Norell

The Blackhawks have agreed to a three-year entry-level contract with defenseman prospect Robin Norell, the team announced Thursday. He will report to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

The deal carries a $715,833 cap hit, according to generalfanager.com, which will kick in at the start of the 2016 season. He's currently on a tryout for the remainder of 2015.

Norell, 21, was drafted by the Blackhawks in the fourth round (No. 111 overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft. He recorded two goals and six assists in 51 games with the Swedish Hockey League's Djurgardens IF this season.
