The Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have activated defenseman Michal Rozsival from long-term injured reserve and reassigned defenseman Erik Gustafsson to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.
Rozsival, 37, notched 13 points (1G, 12A) in 65 games with the Blackhawks last season en route to the 2015 Stanley Cup championship. He also tallied one assist over 10 playoff games. The 2013 Stanley Cup champion has totaled 33 points (2G, 31A) in 134 tilts with Chicago over the past three seasons. The Vlasim, Czech Republic, native has recorded 293 career points (66G, 227A) over 890 National Hockey League games with Pittsburgh, the New York Rangers, Arizona and Chicago.
