The Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have acquired forward Tim Jackman and a seventh-round pick in the 2017 National Hockey League Draft from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for forward Corey Tropp. Jackman has been reassigned to the San Diego Gulls of the American Hockey League.
Jackman, 34, has appeared in two games with Anaheim this season and added two points (1G, 1A) in 22 games with San Diego. The Minot, North Dakota, native has 75 points (32G, 43A) and 806 penalty minutes in 483 career NHL games across 12 seasons with Columbus (2003-04), Arizona (2005-06), Los Angeles (2006-07), New York Islanders (2007-10), Calgary (2010-14) and Anaheim (2013-16); he skated in nine 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs games with Anaheim.
