The Blackhawks have acquired defenseman Rob Scuderi from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for defenseman Trevor Daley, the team announced Monday.
Scuderi, 36, has four assists, a plus-four rating and 32 blocked shots in 25 games with the Penguins this season. He also played an important role in helping the Penguins win a Stanley Cup in 2009 along with the Kings in 2012.
Scuderi has accumulated 104 points in 745 regular-season games over 12 seasons with the Penguins and Kings.
In 29 games with the Blackhawks, Daley recorded six assists and a plus-1 rating. He has collected 237 points in 785 career regular-season games during his 12-year NHL career.
