ROCKFORD, Ill. – Bryan Bickell’s feelings about playoff hockey haven’t changed.
Whether he’s wearing a Chicago Blackhawks’ uniform in the Stanley Cup playoffs or a Rockford IceHogs’ one in the Calder Cup playoffs, he is driven to be a one-man wrecking crew.
As disappointed as he was not to get an opportunity to contribute to another Blackhawks’ playoff run, he’s just as motivated to be a difference-maker for the IceHogs in their playoffs. The IceHogs face the Lake Erie Monsters in Game 1 of a first-round series on Wednesday.
“I think just playing good hockey and playing my type of playoff hockey and helping this team out in any way [is what’s important to me],” Bickell said after the IceHogs’ morning skate on Wednesday.
