First NHL games are always special - but Rasmussen's was probably more special than most.
The Chicago Blackhawks' 4-1 win over the Nashville Predators was special for one reason in particular: it was Dennis Rasmussen's first NHL game. Undrafted, the 25-year-old Swede started playing for the Rockford IceHogs last season, scoring just a modest 27 points over 73 games. His pace increased this season, and just over a quarter of the way through the year, found himself called up.
And it was particularly special for him, because his family - who lives in Sweden - came all the way over to watch.
