An elbow injury during his senior year of high school forced pitching prospect Jesus Luzardo III to grow up in a hurry. Sixteen months later, Luzardo’s maturity was tested again when he was traded to the A's from the Washington Nationals to the A’s in a July deal that shipped out Sean Doolittle and Ryan Madson.
