Alexandre Fortin’s wardrobe is limited right now. He inevitably repeats outfits after three days.
But he has an excuse.
Fortin arrived to Blackhawks training camp expecting a short trip. He was without a contract, with just a few change of clothes and minimal expectations. Two weeks later, he’s still in Chicago, still living in a hotel and still without many clothes, but he’s gained a lot while in Chicago.
Fortin possesses an NHL contract (he signed a three-year entry-level deal with a cap hit of $685,000). He’s appeared in four of five preseason games. He’s scored twice and recorded a primary assist.
