Alexandre Fortin to make NHL debut for Blackhawks vs. Wild

Alexandre Fortin will make his NHL debut for the Blackhawks on Thursday night against the Wild at Xcel Energy Center, reports Eric Lear of Blackhawks TV.

Fortin was called up from the AHL on Tuesday night after forward Andreas Martinsen missed practice with a back injury. The severity of Martinsen’s injury is unknown. Martinsen did not practice for a second straight day.

The 21-year-old Fortin rotated in on the third line with Artem Anisimov and Chris Kunitz. The top-six forward lines stayed the same, while John Hayden, Marcus Kruger and David Kampf manned the fourth line.
