Patrick Kane was named the NHL’s First Star of the Week after posting back-to-back three-point performances against the Wild and Avalanche.
Kane posted his fifth career regular-season hat trick against the Wild on Thursday night and followed that with two goals and an assist against the Avalanche on Saturday. He was credited with the game-winning goal in both contests.
With another 20-goal campaign under his belt, Kane became the 14th player in NHL history to hit that mark in 12 straight seasons to start their career and became only the third Blackhawks player ever to accomplish the feat — joining Stan Mikita and Bobby Hull.
