As the 2018-19 postseason winds down, the Blackhawks are gearing up for an extremely crucial offseason. The stars have seemingly aligned at the perfect time. The Blackhawks moved up from 12th overall to 3rd overall in the 2019 NHL Draft and there’s also about $22.3 mil in cap space burning a hole in their pockets.
This year, there will be plenty of upgrades available which is good, because the Blackhawks have some holes to fill. Roster depth was a problem for the Blackhawks in 2018-19. This year’s UFA pool is overflowing with talented forwards who can come in and be instant upgrades.
