Blackhawks prospects Antti Saarela and Michal Teply will both play in the quarterfinals Thursday at the 2020 World Junior Championship in the Czech Republic.
Saarela and Finland face off against the United States at 10:30 a.m. in Trinec. He has no points, seven shots on goal and is 46.2 percent on faceoffs (19-for-41) while being Finland’s top-line center.
Teply and the host Czech Republic meet Group A winner Sweden at 1 p.m. in Ostrava. The top-line wing has five assists (three primary) while averaging 20-plus minutes per game in four contests.
All tournament playoff round games will be televised on TSN in Canada and NHL Network in the United States.
