On Monday, the NHL released the latest COVID-19 testing results with no positive tests from August 2 through August 8.
The time period of the testing was through the conclusion of the second week of Phase 4 of the NHL's Return to Play program. The league also reported 7,245 tests were administered daily to the 52-member travelling parties of teams that were in hub cities Edmonton and Toronto for the NHL's 24-team postseason.
There were no positive tests from Week 1 of Phase 4 in the bubbles.
The week of July 13-17 — the second to last week of Phase 3 — was the last time the NHL saw a COVID-19 diagnosis, when two players tested positive.
