The games may not count, but the NHL is back after a four month break.
The NHL returns to action Tuesday with three exhibition games prior to the League’s 24-team Return to Play tournament beginning Saturday. Teams are allowed to have 13 forwards and seven defensemen play in the exhibition game.
All three games Tuesday have a fun twist with being rivalry games like most of the exhibition matchups. The Penguins and Flyers (round-robin team) start things off at 3 p.m. in Toronto followed by the Maple Leafs and Canadiens at 7 p.
