Finnish winger Kappo Kakko, the projected No. 2 overall pick in this year’s NHL draft, scored two goals, including an empty-netter.
Blackhawks prospect and Rockford IceHogs goaltender Kevin Lankinen made 20 saves, including a point-blank one in the final minute.
Defenseman Henri Jokiharju committed a high-sticking penalty then Canadian winger Jonathan Marchessault (Golden Knights) scored on Lankinen’s glove side on the power play at 8:03 to tie it 1-1.
