Sweden 5, Latvia 4
Defenseman Erik Gustafsson and forward Marcus Kruger both recorded one shot in Sweden’s win over Latvia. Former Blackhawks forward Dennis Rasmussen (KHL Metallurg Magnitogorsk) scored an empty-net goal for the game winner with 34 seconds remaining in regulation.
With the victory, the Swedes became the last team from Group B to qualify for the quarterfinal round.
