The Chicago Blackhawks enter the offseason with eight draft picks for the NHL draft, which is June 22-23 at American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Among Chicago’s eight picks two are in the first and third rounds.
The Hawks will have a top-10 pick for the first time since they selected Patrick Kane with the top overall pick in 2007. Chicago will select No. 8 overall after dropping one spot in the draft lottery. Its second first-round selection at No. 27 comes from Nashville via the Ryan Hartman trade. The Hawks also have the Predators’ fifth-round pick, while they sent a fourth-round pick to Nashville.
