ST. LOUIS – Zach Miller has overcome three-plus years of injuries to become a legitimate playmaker on offense.
In the span of just six days, Miller has three touchdown receptions, just one shy of his career total (four) before the season.
One week after he electrified the country with a game-winning, one-handed grab on Monday Night Football, Miller paced the Bears with four receptions for 100 yards and two touchdowns Sunday as Chicago stormed out to a 24-10 halftime lead in St. Louis.
Talent has never been Miller’s problem. It’s been durability. Miller has batted injuries since the midway point of the 2011 season while a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, enduring multiple stints on injured reserve the last three-plus seasons with shoulder, calf and foot problems.
