Fourteen years ago this summer, Keenan Allen left Greensboro, N.C., for California.
In many ways, he hadn’t left the Golden State since — until now.
After becoming one of the great receivers in Cal history, he was picked by the Chargers in Round 3 of the 2013 NFL draft. In 2017, he followed the franchise to Los Angeles, where he continued a standout career that earned him six Pro Bowl berths in 11 seasons.
Since leaving high school, he’s played in home stadiums in Berkeley, Calif., San Diego, Carson, Calif., and Los Angeles.
